* How...?
Oddly enough, this was something which posed a problem to start with, until looking around the web, I discovered that Silicon Village, a later rival to Prestel was actually still online, and had a homepage. A quick wander over to the page revealed that they were providing Internet access to SV via a Windows based Viewdata telnet client. So - all you need to do is download a client for your computer and then telnet directly to the board!
Heaven is currently undergoing beta-testing. It's online (most of the time) and you can telnet to it at heaven.affection.net on port 23 (for the time being). You will need to download a Viewdata telnet client for your computer.

  • For RISC OS users, there are two available options. If you already have a comms package capable of Viewdata, such as ArcTerm7, you should just download the Serial Block Driver. If you require a Viewdata client, download HippoTerm.
